Description: In this ongoing class, we’ll explore how to make beautiful clothes that fit just right. Through a series of projects, students will learn how to read patterns, select appropriate fabrics, choose and blend sizes, cut fabrics and sew efficiently. Our expert sewing instructor will tailor classes to the interests of the small group, demonstrating a new skill each week, such as how to install zippers, alter patterns, assemble garments, fittings, alter ready-to-wear clothes and much more. Projects will include pants, tops, dresses, bags and other accessories. 

Fee: $75

Ages: 16 and up.

Materials Included: Cutting tables, sewing machines, and all necessary tools and materials for hand or machine sewing.

Instructor Information: Lauren Fonville has taught hundreds of people how to sew through her mobile sewing school, Sew Mojo. She is a popular sewing and patternmaking instructor at Remainders Creative Reuse and The Hive South Pasadena. A seamstress and custom-made costumer with 15 years of experience in film, television and theatre, her credits include "Hacks," "The Mandalorian," "Shazam!," and "Deadwood."
