Description: In this ongoing class, young designers will make skirts, pants, tops, dresses, bags, stuffies, costumes, accessories and more! Each week, the instructor will demonstrate a skill necessary to completing projects (for example: installing zippers, reading patterns, patternmaking, sewing math, textile science, draping, patternmaking, upcycling, and fitting). The lessons and projects will be tailored to the interests of the student and/or small group of students. Group classes will culminate with a fashion show in which students will “walk the runway,” showing off their fabulous creations. 

Fee: $75

Ages: 9 and up.

Materials Included: Cutting tables, sewing machines, fabrics, and all necessary tools and materials for machine sewing.

Instructor Information: Taught by Lauren Fonville, an experienced seamstress with over 15 years in the industry.
